In large part, it is this truth that inspired the establishment of one of Salt Lake City's hottest coworking centers called myBusinessBar – one that also happens to be a member of the Alliance family. According to independent owner, Kathryn Christiansen, this coworking space is unique because the client remains the focus and there is a genuine sense of community that is fostered through workshops, networking events and even social hours and wine clubs. Christiansen identified a need in her city for a true coworking facility that would enable business owners to connect, boost productivity and ultimately benefit from the creativity that comes from surrounding oneself with an expanded network of like-minded professionals.
"We believe that true success comes from helping others succeed in life", Christiansen explains.
To prove it, her center offers meeting space free of charge to non-profits, as well as complimentary lunch seminars and product launch events for clients who are looking for a safe environment in which to test their markets.
Christiansen stays very involved with the day to day operations of her business and the needs of her clients, making sure to provide valuable connections for each of them and helping them to build their own brands and grow their businesses. In an age of technology and automated sales, Kathryn believes that nothing replaces personal interaction with her team and her clients.

Kathryn entered the business center industry first as an office manager and worked her way up to CEO. Like all of Alliance's entrepreneurial members, she identified a need for a new type of office environment in her community and felt compelled to create a space that not only would provide economical business support services, but also an environment specialized in assisting start-ups and sole proprietors. Kathryn credits her success to an amazing office manager, children who tolerate crazy work hours and the inspiration provided to her through colleagues and clients.
